This season’s first game is the Independence bowl at 4:45 CST with Tulsa taking on Virginia Tech.
The picks are in and posted on the Standing page. Good luck to all. – The Commish
Rhett has picked Oregon. If they win the College Football National Championship, Rhett will be our first repeat champion.
Connie/YanYan will become our 6th consecutive first time winner if Ohio St pulls the upset.

Rhett and Connie/YanYan beat out Lance and NetNet on tie breaker points and will face off in our first ever Bowl Battle Championship Game.
As the #1 seed, Rhett has until EOD Wednesday to submit his selection between Ohio St & Oregon. Connie/YanYan will be assigned the other in a “winner take all” game on Monday, January 12th.

Our final pre-Championship game is the Birmingham Bowl at 11:00 CST Saturday, Jan 3rd.
If East Carolina wins, it will be Connie/YanYan vs Pop in the Championship Game with Connie/YanYan getting to select Oregon or Ohio St to win that game. Lee will be assigned the other.
If Florida wins, it will be Rhett vs Connie/YanYan in the Championship Game. The first seed and selection rights will be determined by the tie breaker of overall point differential in each of their losses for the season.
Note that Lance and NetNet will have the same number of wins (8) as Rhett & Connie/YanYan if Florida wins the Birmingham Bowl. They can’t beat out either of the other 2 on tie breaker points, however.

In addition to Matt, UCLA’s win over Kansas State also eliminated Chris (via point tie breaker). We now have a 4 way tie for the lead with Rhett, Lance, Pop & Connie/YanYan. NetNet is also hanging in there.
If Washington wins the Cactus Bowl, NetNet will be eliminated and Rhett, Lance & Pop will go into the final game with a 1 game lead over Connie/YanYan.
Then, if Florida wins the Birmingham Bowl, Rhett & Lance will be in the Championship Game. Rhett would have selection rights in that game because of the point tie breaker.
Or, if East Carolina wins, Pop will be in the Championship Game as the #1 seed with selection rights. He would play Rhett, Lance or Connie/YanYan depending on how the point tie breaker plays out over the final 2 games.
If OSU wins the Cactus Bowl, Connie/YanYan will have the lead with Rhett, Lance, NetNet and Pop 1 game behind.
Then, if Florida wins the Birmingham Bowl, a 4 way tie between Rhett, Lance, NetNet & Connie/YanYan will be broken via tie-breaker to determine who plays in the Championship Game.
Or, if East Caroline wins, it will be Connie/YanYan versus Pop in the Championship Game with Connie/YanYan having the #1 seed and selection rights.
There will be a quiz on that later. 🙂
