“Tech, Fight! Fight!”

You DO NOT want to see your name in the following quad chart. 7 players are at risk of being eliminated tonight.

For the six players rooting especially hard for the Red Raiders!!!!

Texas Tech Fight Song

Fight, Raiders, Fight! Fight, Raiders, Fight!
Fight for the school we love so dearly.
You’ll hit ’em high, you’ll hit ’em low.
You’ll push the ball across the goal,
Tech, Fight! Fight!

We’ll praise your name, boost you to fame.
Fight for the Scarlet and Black.
You will hit ’em, you will wreck ’em.
Hit ’em! Wreck ’em, Texas Tech!
And the Victory Bells will ring out!

The 1st Bowl Battle Playoffs are coming!

Bowl Battle 2.0 brings our first-ever 4-team playoff with a draft and two rounds of games. Our quarterfinals and finals will align with the new College Football Playoffs format.

Who makes the playoffs?

The top four players from the regular season make the playoffs.

The top four players (and the order of their finish) are determined by total Wins. The first tiebreaker is the total Point Differential in losses. Tiebreakers 2 (a & b) and 3 are outlined in Rules 2.0.

Ok, then what?

The four players will each select 2 of the 8 teams remaining in the actual College Football Playoffs.

The Bowl Battle Playoff Draft will be a ‘snake format’ with the draft order based on the regular season finish of each player. For example, first-place in the regular season will have the 1st and 8th (final) selections in the draft.

The draft will be held after the four playoff teams (and their order) are determined and before the first quarterfinal game. The 2024 draft is (currently) scheduled to be broadcast live on Google Meet at 4:00p CST on Tuesday, December 31st.

Who wins?

Calm before the Storm.

21 of the 22 players still alive for the Bowl Battle playoffs picked Kansas State in today’s Rate Bowl. The lone Rutgers fan, SOUM, can’t be eliminated with a loss. So, enjoy your stress-free battle.

This is, however, the calm before the storm. The upcoming schedule …

  • Friday: 3 Battles
  • Saturday: 4 Battles
  • Sunday: rest
  • Monday: Penultimate Battle
  • Tuesday (New Year’s Eve): Final Battle + Playoff Draft + 1st Quarterfinal Game
  • Wednesday (Jan 1): Final 3 Quarterfinal Games
